Palmyra

We had a pretty open week once we got here so we decided to head to Palmyra to check out some church history sites. We loved it. Palmyra is only about a 50 minute drive so pretty close. We also want to go to the Palmyra pageant. It will probably have to be next year though cause the pageant's in July and baby boy will only be a few weeks old.

Such a pretty view.

The two pictures above are of the Sacred Grove. It was amazing to think of what happened there. Such a neat feeling.

Joseph Smith family home. It made me appreciate what I have when they told me there were 11 people living here at one time. Wow.

Visitor's Center

Hill Cumorah monument. Again, amazing to think of the history.

We had a great trip. We will probably go back again in the fall to see the rest of the sites.

I love how the temple seems to come out of the trees from that view! In the visitor's center there was a room with amazing acoustics so we sang a couple hymns in there, it was way cool!
